Senator (Ret) Charles F. Horn

Senator Charles F. Horn earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from Purdue University and his law degrees from Cleveland State University. He served for 20 years as part owner, legal counsel and chairman of the board of a high-technology company. After serving as Mayor of Kettering and as a Montgomery County Commissioner, he was elected to the Ohio Senate in 1984 where he served as Chair of the standing committee on Economic Development, Technology and Aerospace. He served as Chair of the Federal Labs Consortium Advisory Board and served on the National Defense Industrial Association Board. He works for interface between the Defense Labs and private industry for their mutual benefit, advocating a regional strategy. Senator Horn serves on the Ohio Thomas Edison Technology Advisory Board. He joined the Board of Trustees of the AFIT Foundation in 1999.
