In this article, The AFIT Foundation is recognizing Captain Paul Michaud, Air Force Officer and F-35 Pilot at the 356th Fighter Squadron.

Captain Michaud received his MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Microelectronic Mechanical Systems from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology in 2019 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 2017 with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Japanese. He decided to join the military due to the desire to receive a good education, follow in his family’s business, and possibly fly planes. His dream came true after graduating from AFIT, as he is now a F-16 pilot and flies the F-35 at Eielson AFB, AK.

AFIT provided Captain Michaud with a strong engineering background, which has been beneficial to him when understanding aviation and topics involving the electromagnetic spectrum. He fondly remembers using the clean room equipment at AFIT to fabricate and test his thesis on microcontacts. Thank you, Captain Michaud!
