In this article, The AFIT Foundation is recognizing Captain Gayleen Swiggum, M.S., PMP, Speaker and Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Captain Swiggum received her MS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology in 2017. She entered the military to serve her country and take part in the ‘family business.’ Captain Swiggum now serves as a military spouse and owns an online coaching and education business, Lim Sue Aun Global.

AFIT taught Captain Swiggum how to take her critical thinking to the next level by asking the right questions, analyzing information, and making decisions based on that analysis. She learned what it truly means to do research at AFIT and how quality can make a difference. Her favorite memory was graduation with her amazing classmates.

When asked about what she would say to those entering the military, Captain Swiggum writes, “You don’t have to have all the answers, but it’s a fantastic idea to build genuine relationships with the people who do. If the military is your life purpose – go all the way! If the military is a safe space for you to figure out what your life purpose is, that’s amazing too! Remember there’s a life after the military and the relationships come with you.” Thank you, Captain Swiggum!
